Pangong Tso

Pangong Tso means “high grassland lake” which comes from the Tibetan word. Pangong Lake is the highest saltwater lake in the world which is situated at about 4350 m in height. This lake is unique for its changing colors at different times. It is seen in blue, red, and green colors which create a contrast with the surrounding mountains. It had been in dispute for the LOC (line of control) passing through it.

Two-thirds of this lake is part of China, and the rest one-third is part of India. Disputes apart, this place attracts tourists, and it makes absorb its beauty for long hours.
